John James Hickey grew up in a family of artists and musicians in NYC and the Hudson Valley.  He has been painting since he was three years old.  
He continued his studies at The College of Saint Rose, The Art Student's League in NYC, and with American portrait artist Rose Frantzen.  JJ is a member of the Portrait Society of America.
